Job Details

Sponsored by mission-aligned organizations, E4C Fellows expand their understanding of the sector through participation in E4C’s Impact Projects, performing research or design work for social impact. Targeted Learning Modules deepen their knowledge in the space, while networking with the experts and rising engineers through the E4C community and E4C’s Fellow Alumni Network advances their career path.

This Fellowship is a part-time and remote commitment that lasts five months, with Summer (May to September) and Winter (November-March) cohorts. Fellows get paid a stipend and are expected to work 20-25 hours per week with flexible schedules.

What advice would you give the CEO of E4C about how to improve the company?

You are terrible at your job. The board doesn’t know that, but the staff do. You spend most of your time at the Hallway Cafe enjoying free lunch and refreshments, meeting with your friends. You never stop to talk to your staff. You are an old witch.

If you were to leave E4C, what would be the reason?

They fired an amazing team lead and hired somebody that does not know what she is doing. All staff is quitting slowly, they do not care about mental health of the employees- they just worry about numbers and stakeholders. Upper management has absolutely no idea how bad it is- nor do they care to know. This place is brutal!

What would you suggest E4C management do to prevent others from leaving?

They start to act like they care about staff even a little. Give us raises and take accountability for the fact that the turn over rate is exponential. Don’t make them do horrible tasks and take measures for the safety of the staff and their property
